Africa’s Business Heroes Grand Finale
If you’re in Kigali, Rwanda on 23 and 24 November, you’ll want to attend Africa’s Business Heroes Grand Finale. More than 27,000 entrepreneurs from across Africa applied to a competition that will see the Top 10 Finalists vie for the Top 3 spots and the grand prize winner will take home $350,000 in unrestricted grant funding. In addition to the final pitches to the judges, there will be a full summit day of workshops and great speakers. Admission is free. Register now for Africa’s Business Heroes Grand Finale.
Wisdom Bank Launch events
‘Social enterprise’ is a relatively new phenomenon. Aspects include changing systems that don’t work for people or the planet, hearing the voices of the unheard and collaborating to create positive social impact. The individuals, couples and teams who do this work are courageous and unselfish within an environment that is challenging and sometimes hostile. As time goes on, this community – those who started as “youngers” and those who are now the “youngers” – has accumulated wisdom that is seldom shared. The Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs is launching a Wisdom Bank to support our community, share collective wisdom and help those doing this tough job to feel less alone and equip them with insights from fellow travellers.
