Zubo Trust
Zubo is a registered, women-led organisation established to spearhead women empowerment programs in the Zambezi Valley. It was established in 2009 after realising the lack of adequate attention being given to issues that affect women and children. The organisation believes that the process of empowering women needs women themselves to take a leading role in finding solutions to the problems that affect them.
Zubo’s mission is to become a leading organisation in the social, economic, cultural and political empowerment of women by championing new technologies in sustainable utilisation of natural resources and the rights of women in the Zambezi Valley. The staff complements have diversified qualifications that bring the intended change to the women and community at large. In a bid to move women out of poverty (Strategic Plan, 2018-2022); some significant results have already been realised.
