Social entrepreneurs are known for finding solutions for society’s problems. What is the problem that you are addressing, and what is your solution?
How to make education and employment inclusive for all. We use our profits to finance resources for schools and colleges. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-21), we offered leaders in schools / colleges free online support to ensure they retained their high-quality provision of inclusive education. This continues in a different, group-based format today.
One of our current collaborations is 365 SEND. This is a unique three-year project (2022-2025) to galvanise six people groups, in local communities, around five innovative solutions. These include accredited courses, the SEND Engagement Café, webinars, technology vouchers and reading materials for practitioners and parents. This service is offered online in English, but only costs schools / colleges around the world £1 / day for three years. We are changing perceptions and practices around inclusion to make it about collaborative and normative investment. Annually we also host SEND Leaders Appreciation Day on 1 July with Hays Education UK. This is a global celebratory day to thank all those who lead and work to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
